Australian Love

We’re getting a lot of love for Australian brands here at Lovarni and while their Summer season is drawing to an end ours is only just beginning. We have added a few new Australian brands to the website and since their launch online, they have been extremely popular so now is the time to take a look before they all run out! We have carefully selected labels which cater for everyone’s taste from cool, light wearable fabrics to bold prints and colourful statement pieces.

Take House of Wilde where loose shapes and pastel blush colours make up the collection which is perfect for both Spring and Summer. The label has a very carefree feel to it which makes for a perfect choice for the upcoming festival season. If you have an effortless chic style then this is the label for you.

Mink Pink is another new label which consists of some light, cool styles which are great for layering. These beautiful, comfortable pieces are getting more and more popular here in the UK and we anticipate that this will continue as we move towards next season. With this label you’ll also find some quirky prints and vintage inspired styles which we here at Lovarni are loving right now!

Talking of quirky prints, Fairground is a label that plays with past shapes, reinventing them to create on trend pieces. If you want to make a statement then this is the label for you as their collection is full of bold prints and vivid colours. One of our top Fairground pieces is the Cha Cha dress, its bright colour and structured shape is the perfect choice for any Summer parties you have lined up. It’s sure to get you noticed!

Diva Catwalk has arrived at and boy are we excited!

Famous for their stretch fabrics and fitted styles, Diva Catwalk produce innovative designs, concentrating on the cut of the dress to create the perfect fit. The brand prides itself on using quality fabrics which help to smooth and redefine your silhouette. It’s no secret that many brands nowadays outsource their manufacturing internationally, so it’s great to welcome a brand where all styles are designed and manufactured here in the UK.

It is clear that Diva Catwalk has drawn inspiration from famous designers such as Roland Mouret, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham, however thankfully Diva Catwalk dresses do not come with the hefty price tag. We can now all find the perfect fitting dress but at a much more affordable price!

These glamorous, fitted dresses are loved by many celebrities including Katherine Jenkins, Carol Vorderman, Stephanie McGovern and Nadia Sawalha who was most recently seen wearing the ‘Sydney’ Dress on Daybreak’s Lorraine show.

Many of Diva Catwalk’s designs have a vintage inspired edge and what with the return of Mad Men this month we’re all desperate to find chic, vintage inspired dresses. Well look no further than Diva whose carefully crafted designs hug your figure in all the right places! Now we can all create the illusion of the perfect hourglass figure and be our very own Joan Harris!
Diva dresses are perfect for any occasion whether it be to the races, a wedding or simply a day at the office. The dresses make for a perfect choice for the latter due to the tasteful knee length design, comfortable fabric and bold colours. A much more stylish choice than a plain trouser suit!

Trend: Pretty Pastels

Spring is finally here so now is the perfect time to explore this season’s Pastel trend. From sherbet yellows to sugary pinks, these candy coloured pastels are a great way to sweeten your look. If you are keen to wear colour but find the bold brights too garish, opt for the other side of the spectrum by choosing a pastel tone to soften your look and inject some colour.

Take inspiration from Phillip Lim whose collection offered strong, sharp silhouettes but in soft feminine colours or Ralph Lauren, another designer who embraced the pretty trend, showcasing gorgeous pieces in subtle shades.

One of Lovarni’s newest brands, Mink Pink has clearly been influenced by the pastel trend. The SS12 collection features pretty, feminine blouses and tops in shades of nude and cream. Team these light, delicate tops with dark jeans or leggings to create a contrast.

Another brand featured on the Lovarni website that has also been influenced by the trend is House of Dereon. One style that is proving to be a big hit is the Summer Bandeau dress, featured below. This style is available in a gorgeous powder blue which is one of the most wearable pastel tones.

Spotlight on Hybrid

The Hybrid dress: it’s the home-grown designer label that stars and stylish women everywhere are going mad for.

In the two years since the Hybrid dress hit the market, it has rapidly become one of the most sought-after garments among fashion-conscious females and celebs alike, thanks to its sleek, sophisticated and sensuous air of femininity.

Members of the TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex) cast including Samantha Faiers, Billie Faiers, Maria Fowler, Lauren Pope and Lauren Goodger have all been photographed hitting the town in Hybrid dresses. Along with former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett, Celebrity Big Brother housemate Nicola McClean and TV presenters including BBC Breakfast’s Susanna Reid. Most recently Hollyoaks’ Gemma Merna was spotted wearing a Hybrid yellow Peplum dress.

It will hopefully not come as too much of a surprise when we at Lovarni also admit our undying love for all things Hybrid.

Why? Because the Hybrid dress is perfect for every occasion, be it as evening wear for a cocktail party or red carpet affair, or something special for a night out with the girls. And because Hybrid is so eclectic in range there is sure to be something to meet all tastes.

Hybrid is celebrated for its rich and deep block colour, tasteful knee-length design and quality stretch fabric that hugs the figure in all the right places, creating a stunning silhouette. It can be compared to a Roland Mouret dress, such as the legendary pink Moon dress sported by fashion icon Victoria Beckham, except it costs a fraction of the price at £85.

In fact, its key features tally almost perfectly with the concept of the “Forever Dress” — the ideal woman’s dress — as determined by a consumer survey conducted on behalf of Debenhams last month. Even better, unlike the Forever Dress, the Hybrid already exists! stocks all gorgeous designs in the current collection. This is because we enjoy a “special relationship” with the Hybrid range and know just how much our visitors love them.
