London Fashion Week
It has always been said that September is the January in Fashion. This month is therefore a time to start afresh and get shopping for your new year wardrobes ladies! This week is of course London Fashion Week; a time which proves that fashion is all about looking forward and not back, about the future of fashion and not the past.

Trend report: Leather
Leather, (and to be more specific, black leather) has been absolutely everywhere as of late. The easy to wear trend was present at many Autumn/ Winter shows, in many different forms. Designers offered up leather dresses, trousers, skirts and jumpers, as well as the classic leather jacket. Calvin Klein, for example, showcased a collection of leather. Our favourites include this long skater style dress and leather peplum top.
Leather has also been spotted on the red carpet and in celebrities’ day to day wardrobes. Style crush Ashley Olsen proved leather is easy to integrate into casual wear when she teamed this beautiful leather skirt with a dark grey tee. Jessica Alba also rocked the trend with this stunning leather bustier dress.
Here at Lovarni there are some great ways to wear leather. Take this gorgeous Hybrid dress with black leather panels, for example.

New collection alert!
This week there has been great excitement in the Lovarni office with the launch of Jessica’s Wright’s new clothing line. We went along to the Launch party at Sanctum hotel in Soho, where many of the TOWIE stars showed up to support their friend. We were able to have a preview of the collection as some of the pieces were on display at the party. There was a selection of lace and sequin covered party dresses, and some gorgeous maxis.
The collection will be available from the 10th September at Lovarni, but some of the gorgeous dresses are available for pre-order now, just click here to view the collection. Our favourites include the stunning ‘zara’ dress in Gold, and the ‘Jodie’ lace dress, which has already been spotted on multiple celebrities.
Also new to Lovarni is the fabulous new House of Dereon Autumn/Winter 2012 range, designed by none other than the beautiful Beyoncé. The new collection includes some cute party pieces along with a few winter essentials, and is full of leopard print, faux leather and fur, and LBD’s. Beyonce crowned Worlds Most Beautiful Woman
People Magazine has named Beyonce the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2012! The gorgeous singer told the magazine that since giving birth to little Blue, she “feel’s more beautiful than ever”. The new mother has spoken of how she has started to take a more relaxed approach to her image which was seen this week in New York when the singer sported a more natural look.

Everyone is a little bit in love with Beyonce. She is the 30 year old who has sold millions of records, winning six Grammy Awards in 2010, has a successful acting career and is a beautiful wife and mother. Along with all of this Beyonce has also ventured into clothes, creating the clothing brand House of Dereon with her mother Tina. In September 2011 Beyonce and her mother travelled to London where they launched the Autumn/Winter and Holiday 2011 collections. Lovarni is very fortunate to stock the brand and it is becoming increasingly popular.
The label is inspired by personal experiences in Beyoncé’s and Tina’s lives which are transferred into the designs of the garments. The brand offers its wearers show stopping designs with a feisty edge, along with great quality fabrics and intricate detail.

While Beyonce herself is often seen wearing her own designs, House of Dereon is also loved by a number of celebrities including Alexandra Burke, Rita Ora and Tulisa who was spotted wearing the Draped Black Jacket just this week.

Trend: Pretty Pastels
Spring is finally here so now is the perfect time to explore this season’s Pastel trend. From sherbet yellows to sugary pinks, these candy coloured pastels are a great way to sweeten your look. If you are keen to wear colour but find the bold brights too garish, opt for the other side of the spectrum by choosing a pastel tone to soften your look and inject some colour.
Take inspiration from Phillip Lim whose collection offered strong, sharp silhouettes but in soft feminine colours or Ralph Lauren, another designer who embraced the pretty trend, showcasing gorgeous pieces in subtle shades.

One of Lovarni’s newest brands, Mink Pink has clearly been influenced by the pastel trend. The SS12 collection features pretty, feminine blouses and tops in shades of nude and cream. Team these light, delicate tops with dark jeans or leggings to create a contrast.
Another brand featured on the Lovarni website that has also been influenced by the trend is House of Dereon. One style that is proving to be a big hit is the Summer Bandeau dress, featured below. This style is available in a gorgeous powder blue which is one of the most wearable pastel tones.
