Ombre: The French word that means the shading and graduation of colours…a word which has boomed in the fashion and beauty world as of late. Ombre hair, ombre nails, ombre clothing…one thing is for sure, the ombre trend is EVERYWHERE and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere this upcoming season. The trend first emerged when a selection of A-listers began sporting Ombre hair: the dip dye phenomenon that made dark, grown out roots cool again. Drew Barrymore has infamously rocked the trend, with Alexa Chung, Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson not far behind.
Next were ombre nails, with bloggers and celebrities alike rocking this shaded trend. Ombre nails are a great way to work the trend subtly and sans commitment, and can be as drastic or as understated as one desires.
The catwalk has even been embracing all things ombre, with designers such as Michael Kors using the trend as inspiration for his Autumn Winter pieces. This gorgeous ombre feather dress is an especially special example.
So, if you haven’t already, it is well and truly time to embrace the Ombre trend this season! Like us on Facebook to hear about all things Ombre related!
